MR. SAMI KHATIB
Mr. Sami Khatib is the Founder, Chairman & Managing Director of the company.
His educational qualification is B.Sc., B. Pharm, LLB, DBM. He is a successful industrialist having more than 50 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He is the main promoter of the company and actively involved since inception of the company from the year 1975. His vision, determination, strong values & ethics has transformed Medley from a single product company in 1969 to one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies having over 200 products & a presence in 26 countries globally.
He received ‘VIJAYA RATNA’ award from Prime Minister of India on 6th March 1991 for his successful achievement in the industry.
He has had a firm belief that rural education can transform India & hence founded the Sinkhai Foundation, a charitable trust to promote education & affordable healthcare. He is being elected every 3 years since 1987 as Member of General Council, Supreme Body of Anjuman-I-Islam, Mumbai and was heading Anjuman-I-Islam as President of the Organisation. He is a trustee of Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi. He has also built a rural community hall at Kalamb, Yavatmal in 1982 and an english medium school at Kalamb in 2009.
His association with other organizations during past years are incredible. He was a Chairman of Daroor-Ul-Uloom (Public School), Panchgani 1987-1992 (of the Anjuman), Founder Chairman of Board for Professional Education of the Anjuman-I-Islam from 1992-2000, Honorary General Secretary of Anjuman-I-Islam, Mumbai 2000-2002, Chairman of Saboo Siddique Polytechnic, Anjuman-I-Islam, Mumbai, 2003-2004. He was chairman of Maharashtra College, Mumbai (1998-2003), Member, Board of Directors, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait, Mumbai (1992-2000, President, Past Students Forum, Ismail Yusuf College (1999-2002), Member, Drug Technical Advisory Board, Govt. of India (1996-1999), Chairman, Kamla Nehru College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad (1981-87), Member, Board of Studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagpur University (1982-85).
