Cefo LX 100
Composition
Each film coated tablet contains
Cefixime Trihydrate - 100 mg
Cloxacillin - 500 mg
Lactic Acid Bacillus - 45 million spores
Cefo LX 200
Description
Cefixime shows excellent clinical efficacy in respiratory tract infections, Urinary tract infection & Enteric fever. It is not active against some gram positive and gram negative microorganisms.

Addition of Cloxacillin ensures that the Cefixime overcomes the resistance and thus expands its antibacterial activity against organisms like Staphylococcus aureus. 10-15% of patients given Cefixime & cloxacillin report diarrhea, which makes treatment complicated. But inclusion of spores of lactic acid bacillus, a probiotic, re-establish normal condition in the colon and prevent antibiotic induced diarrhoea.

Thus the combination will provide excellent efficacy against various infections caused by gram positive and gram negative bacteria without alteration in the bowel movement.

Cefoclav 100
Composition
Each tablet contians
Cefixime - 100 mg
Clavulanic acid - 62.5 mg
Cefoclav 200
Description
Cefixime is a third generation cephalosporin. Extensively used in clinical practice due to its efficacy and also safety. Unfortunately, in India, some cases have started reporting emergence of resistant strains of some Gram positive & Gram negative microorganisms. Clavulanic acid is first oral beta lactamases inhibitor. Beta-lactamase inhibitor combinations provide one strategy to overcome beta-lactamase-mediated resistance. Beta-lactamases constitute the major defense mechanism of pathogenic bacteria against beta- lactam antibiotics. Combination of cefixime and clavulanic acid improves the antibacterial activity and resistance to the multi-drug therapy. Based on pharmacokinetic profile also the combination shows synergistic effect.
