ACENAC Tablets contain Aceclofenac which is a preferential COX 2 inhibitor. Exhibits multiple mechanisms of action. It blocks the prostaglandin (PGE2) secretion and inhibits the release of Cytokines, as well as it stimulates the synthesis of cartilages matrix and blocks its degeneration. Besides this it increases hexosamine level, a gastro protective agent. That's why GI side effects are less associated with this NSAID.

Each film coated sustained release tablet contains:
Aceclofenac Sustained Release - 200 mg

In Osteoarthritis: 1 tablet of Acenac SR in the morning.
In Rheumatoid Arthritis: 1 tablet of Acenac SR at the night.

Pain is a complex phenomena involving both peripheral and central mechanism. The combination of aceclofenac with paracetamol (Acenac-P) gives complete relief from pain and associated inflammation by counter acting both central and peripheral mechanisms. Aceclofenac can counteract peripheral inflammation by blocking COX-2 enzyme and paracetamol block the central effects of prostaglandin by blocking COX-3 enzyme in brain. Nimesulide act peripherally by blocking COX-2 while paracetamol works centrally by blocking COX-3. Both the drugs are well tolerated. The combination of Nimesulide with Paracetamol provides the advantage that the onset of analgesic and antipyretic effect starts faster and the duration of effect is long lasting. Thus combination of the two drugs for rapid and long lasting analgesic and antipyretic action is well justified

Ketotram is a combination of Ketorolac and Tramadol which relieve pain.
