Muscle Relaxant

Colchico 4/8 Mg
Description
Thiocolchicoside is a semi-synthetic sulphurated derivative of colchicoside, with muscle relaxant activity. It also has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity after oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular administration.

Dorsal pain
Torticollis
Degenerative Vertebral Disorders
Trauma and Neurological Disorders
Composition
Each film coated tablet contains :
Thiocolchicoside - 4/8 mg
Dosage
8mg / 4mg bid for 5 to 7 days.
Side Effects
Diarrhea, gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, rarely drowsiness & angioedema.
Precautions
  • Not recommended for use in children.
  • Reduce the dosage as necessary, in case of diarrhoea.
  • Although only rare cases of drowsiness have been reported, this has to be taken into account when driving vehicles and operating machines.

Acenac-Mr/Mr8
Description
In any muscle spasm there is vicious cycle of pain-spasm-pain. This means that muscle relaxant or analgesic alone will not help in breaking this vicious cycle. When analgesic and muscle relaxant are given in combination, this cycle can be broken quickly. The best recommendations for rapid recovery from low back pain to normal daily activities are administration of NSAID’s with muscle relaxants and analgesics.

Aceclofenac - 100 mg
Paracetamol - 500 mg
Dosage

One tablet BID

Side Effects
  • Drugs are very well tolerated.
  • Occasionally diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.
  • Rare cases of drowsiness, cutaneous allergic reactions including angioedema.
Precautions
Thiocolchicoside is not recommended for use in children. Reduce the dosage, as necessary, in case of diarrhea.
