Each uncoated tablet contains :
Nimesulide - 100 mg
Paracetamol - 350 mg

Nimsaid-P is available as a strip of 10 tablets.

Nimesulide act peripherally by blocking COX-2 while paracetamol works centrally by blocking COX-3. Both the drugs are well tolerated.

The combination of Nimesulide with Paracetamol provides the advantage that the onset of analgesic and antipyretic effect starts faster and the duration of effect is long lasting.

Thus combination of the two drugs for rapid and long lasting analgesic and antipyretic action is well justified
